Patio Furniture Maintenance

When purchasing from us at Best Buy Patio Furniture, we highly recommend maintaining a regular cleaning routine to ensure a long lifespan for your furniture. It is best to use light soap such as dawn dish soap or a natural alternative that avoids harsh chemicals which could potentially damage the protective layers of the furniture. For a thorough clean, use a rag or brush with the desired soap and rinse off with water. It is important to avoid leaving any harsh products on the vinyl or sling as this can lead to premature aging. While our products are built to withstand the sun’s rays and outdoor conditions, we still advise using a towel when sunbathing to prevent any oils or sunscreens from affecting the furniture.

Maintenance and care for A&K Enterprise’s patio furniture!

Key tips for maintaining your patio furniture’s lifespan:

Cleaning: Use mild soap, like Dawn dish soap or a natural soap, to avoid damaging the furniture’s protective layers. Wash with a rag or brush and rinse thoroughly with water.

Aluminum Frame: Wash aluminum furniture with soapy water every three weeks or more often if needed. Use a mild detergent and a soft rag or brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. You can also wax the aluminum frame with a light coat of car wax to protect it from the elements.

Vinyl/Sling: Clean vinyl straps with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as these can damage the vinyl. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely.

Sun Exposure: While the furniture is designed for outdoor conditions, oils and sunscreens from sunbathing can be damaging if left on the furniture for too long. Place a towel on the furniture before sitting or lying on it. This will help to protect the furniture from sunscreen, body oils, and lotions.

Additional Tips: Store furniture indoors during the off-season. If you live in an area with harsh winters, bring your furniture indoors for storage. This will protect it from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. Always use your furniture for its intended purpose only. Don’t stand or jump on, flip over, or lean back in chairs or lounges. To move furniture, always pick it up. Don’t drag it across the ground, as this can scratch or damage it. Avoid excessive weight on the furniture that could exceed its capacity. Weight capacity: 250-325 lbs depending on the product.

By following these simple tips, you can significantly extend the life of your patio furniture and keep it looking beautiful for years to come!
